Make an Appointment - Reference

Make an appointment in 3 steps. Step 1: Select a staff member. Step 2: Select an available date. Step 3: Select an available timeslot.

To book an appointment with one of the Reference Librarians, you will have to select first the type of appointment among the following categories:

  • Citation assistance - if you need help in citing sources, reviewing your bibliographies, or to make sure that the in-text citations are correct;
  • Research consultation - if you need help researching sources for a project;
  • Thesis assistance - if you are working on your thesis and you need help, especially with the template;
  • EN 110 appointment (50 minutes) - this is specifically for EN 110 students whose instructors ask them to make a mandatory appointment with the librarians for a research consultation

The appointment will be automatically set to the length specified by the appointment type.

You may want to select a specific librarian. Consider that the librarians have different schedules, so if you want to have more options, you should leave the default "No preference."

Then, you select the date in the calendar, and finally the time slot that you prefer. If you think you might need more time than the pre-selected one, do not hesitate to contact the chosen librarian for more details.

A final question will be on the mode of appointment: online (via Microsoft Teams) or in-person at one of the reference desks located in the library (Aurelian Wing or Learning Hall).

Walk-ins are welcome too!
